Instrument Rating (Starting from $7,565)

This training is based on GCA's, FITS (FAA Industry Training Standards) based syllabus.  To follow are the FAA requirements for a Private Pilot Certificate:

FAA Requirements:
Must hold a current Private Pilot Certificate with a rating appropriate to the instrument rating sought
-  Be able to speak, read, write, and understand the English language
-  Receive and log ground training from an instructor or accomplish a home study course
-  Receive a logbook endorsement from an instructor certifying that the person is prepared to take the required knowledge and practical tests
-  Must pass the required knowledge test.
-  Must log the required training given by an authorized instructor

Aeronautical Experience Requirements
At least 50 hours of cross-country flight time as PIC
-  At least 40 hours of actual or simulated instrument training to include:
     -  At least 15 hours of instrument training in the aircraft category in which the instrument rating is sought
     -  3 hour instrument practical test preparation
     -  250 nautical mile instrument training cross-country including:  3 different kind of approaches with use of navigation systems; an instrument approach at each airport.
